Recognition

School Counselor of the Year Awards

This year, CSCA will be planning implementation of a School Counselor of the Year Program honoring outstanding counselors who are managing first-rate comprehensive school counseling programs in their schools and who show extraordinary leadership qualities and attributes. Winners of the state award will be eligible for nomination to the national School Counselor of the Year award, sponsored by ASCA. Ten finalists for the national award and their nominators are invited each year to Washington D.C. to be honored at a gala event and to participate in a congressional briefing. Look for more details in the months to come!

Professional Recognition Awards

Annually, recognition is given to comprehensive school counseling programs and activities that demonstrate best practice, show evidence of meeting defined school or district goals, and align with both state and national program standards.
