Self-Study
School counseling program development is a time consuming process that requires all counselors in a department to be on board and committed to program improvement and change. To provide a focus, and to set parameters for this process, the Connecticut School Counselor Association has developed a Self-Study Guide for school counselors to use as they begin the process of program improvement. The guide highlights the standards for a school counseling program, and serves as an assessment tool to determine what program elements are in place and which ones need to be developed and implemented.
